CHAI STOUT (Cask)
Possibly the regular Black Seal Stout served from the Beer Engine with the addition of Chai to the brew.
Presentation: Listed on the Cask chalkboard simply as Chai Stout with no listed strength.
Appearance: Dark black body, thick brown head lasts for some time and laces nicely. The carbonation is nicely attenuated and adds to the smooth looks. Solid appearance here, in the RB Mugs especially.
Nose: Tons of Chai in this one, spicy and warming with a roasted malt background.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Spices blend nicely with the roasted Stout body, nutty tones with lots of Chai bolstered by fresh cinnamon and a healthy dollop of nutmeg. Finish is smooth and incredibly Moorish. Nice rich bold body throughout. The slick feel lends Drinkability.
Drinkability: I have sampled many of these over the past few weeks. This is a very easy going offering that just begs to be supped. Hard to put down. A good tasty Session stout.
Overall: This one works a treat and proves to be a damn tasty and quaffable Stout. Well worth trying, just see if you cannot help but order a second, and a third, or a fourth .I dare you.
