Had a couple of snifters while having dinner with Da Boss last night for $4.75 each.
Beer poured dark brown with a decent off white head that dissipated pretty quickly.
Nose was plums and prunes with a touch of west coast hops.
Taste was very well balanced between the dark fruits layered into the huge malt base finishing with an ample hop finish to help keep the sweetness at bay.
Mouthfeel was full bodied and smooth.
Overall i was surprised at how approachable this beer was. Paired well with the shrimp and lobster enchiladas.
