This was one of the Rock Bottom Brewery’s rotating dark taps. This deep, dark brown beer shows garnet highlights around the edges when held near the light. The offwhite head has moderate retention and little lacing. There is a caramelly malty start to the taste and after a second, a non-distinct bitter hoppiness fills in behind it. The beer has a medium-short finish. In general, this is amongst the better beers at Rock Bottom, but it does not stand out as a very memorable beer. Not one I’d go out of my way to have again.
