On tap. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of chocolate, toffee and caramel. Sweet toffee and caramel with some bittersweet chocolate.

Also called Robust Porter this beer is at 6.0% ABV
A- This beer has a opaque brown body with a creamy tan head that fades to a film pretty quickly.
S- This beer has a slight earthy dark malt note with a slight sweetness to the smell.
T- This beer has a black roasted malt flavor with a pot caramel flavor and some chocolate malt notes come through pretty strong as it warms. There is a soft pine hop bite in the finish that has a slight tang note to it.
M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a slight watery note to the texture.
D- This beer has some nice dark flavors but there isn't much depth to the flavors or any balance to add interest.

Pours from a growler into my glass a deep dark brown bordering on black with a small light tan head on top of the brew along with some spotty lacing. Aromas start with a sweet roasted maltiness with a nice pronounced chocolate aroma. Light coffee tones are met by a nice lightly citric hop profile. Pretty nice.
First sip brings a nice dark roasted maltiness met by plenty of chocolate flavor and a bit of a underlying coffee hint as well. Smooth with a nice creaminess that flows down with a green hop flavor at the end of each sip that brings just enough bitterness into play. Overall this is a tasty porter.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and goes down smooth. Works well for the style. I've enjoyed the few beers I have sampled from Rock Bottom Yorktown and I hope to get back again soon to try some more. Hopefully they will branch out into some barrel aged brews in the future as well!
