changing recipe brewed once a year from the same ingredients by different local brewers...a red/bitter style this year. this beer was a deep ruby, almost brownish in color with an off-white head. decent lacing. caramel malt in the nose with some subtle vegetal/piney hop notes as well as some roasty malts. taste is dry malts at the forefront with a solid hop bitterness at the back end. finish is medium long and astringent. nice natural, fresh carbonation as you would expect at a brewpub. light/medium in body. this drank like it should be a lower abv beer so the drinkability suffers a little.
