This beer was extremely bourbon-y, a bit more than I would like. I found it rather astringent and a bit difficult to drink (I was grateful I only had 10 oz of it, rather than 16).
It poured an extremely viscous black, with a fine, sticky, tan head. Aroma was strongly bourbon-y. Taste was very bourbon-y, which made it hard to notice a lot of very nice chocolate-y roastiness. Mouthfeel was extremely dry. Not bad, but not very drinkable nor something that could be an everyday beer for me.
I had this while in town for the GABF during one of several meals at Rock Bottom-Denver.
