Pours black, but when held to the light there's reddish mahogany on show. Great lacing & very good head retention

S: Some chocolate, toasted malt & a whisper of vanilla

T: Chocolate, some toasted grain, & a kiss of vanilla up front. More cocoa & bit of coffee as this warms. Finishes wet with nice toasty grain, a bit of breadyness & mocha

MF: Smooth & way more body than the abv would suggest, perfect carbonation

Drinks very easy, becoming more impressed with this joint's cask offerings eash time I visit. I'd have to move on eventually, a surefire session ale
