Poured a deep amber color, odd for an IPA but usual for a Rye PA. The ose was a little weak for me. Did not smell much. taste was malty up front and then the rye kicked in but subtle, just enough, no floral hops in this brew?? or citric hops either, if there I could not taste it. Mouthfeel was rich, slightly hoppy and very malty. The ABV was well disguised at 8. Good beer!

Poured a hyper-bubbly caramel/brown with 2 fingers of sand colored head. Beer cleared up the bottom 3rd of the glass. Goof lacing & very good head retention
S: Breadyness plus some peppery notes
T: Big time peppery rye up front, a bit of floral hops & nice breadyness up front, A bit of citric hops, plus some grainyness & pumpernickel as this warms. Finishes with crisp hops & more peppery rye & just a bit of caramel (more pronounced in the draft version)
Creamy with moderate carbonation & great balance
Drank too easy, really hides the ABV. I was conflicted as to whether this should be an IMP PA ale or a rye beer, but the tettang hops used here are fairly subdued. This is one of the better offerings I've had from here
