A very nice straw color and hazy look! It was served in a plastic cup because we were at their beer garden! Veryi nice citrus aroma and a bit of sulfur on the back from the lager yeast! Very light body with a nice crisp floral finish!
A very refreshing beer for a nice afternoon in Chicago! Specially in spring or summer!

Fairly sharp looking translucent golden beer. Small head, but some lacing persists. Smell is of cooked grains, a little "husk", and minimal hops. Flavors are crisp bready grains, a small hint of fruity yeast, and a very small bite of citrus hops at the end of the sip. Nice mouthfeel and body: crisp, light, and refreshing.

I've had a few Kolsch beers and they've ranged from mediocre to lousy. Rock Bottom has made a very non-offensive beer that really does hit the spot on a hot day even if the style simply isn't that interesting. I could say "my favorite Kolsch", but because of my personal preferences, that isn't saying a lot.

Pours damn near clear as water. Smell is candy like sweetness and reminds me of smarties or powdery sweet tart sweetness. Taste is thin, watery and light malt. Lightly grassy hops. Too thin, and the carbonation is a touch on the light side, but it isn't offensive and is perfectly drinkable.
