I had this one on tap at the Orland Park Rock Bottom on 9/20/2008.
A= This ale poured a cloudy light caramel color with a 1/4" off white head. The head quickly dropped to a skim and left just a bit of lace down the glass.
S= I found aromas of bananas, clove, sweet and bready bakery malts, and a hint of alcohol.
T= The taste followed the nose with the expected banana/clove flavors up front, spicy pepper came into the middle, and a nice balance of caramel malts and alcohol emerged in the finish.
MF= Relatively silky on the tongue from the soft carbonation level. Medium bodied all the way.
D= This is a very drinkable weizenbock, and is certainly very well done.
