L: Pale golden Straw color, a small fizzy head with nice soapy lacing on the glass.
S: Citrus and earthy, smells like Cascade hops. Not outstanding for an IPA but not terrible.
T: A little citrus, some pine and resin and a solid caramel backbone. Nothing special but solid.
F: Pretty light body with medium carbonation

I'm not a huge hop-head but I enjoy a decent IPA now and then. This is one of the best I've had in quite some time. Appearance wise it was an Amber color. Very smooth, perfect temp and not a bad aftertaste. Even my wife who is not an IPA fan ended up getting one of her own. I'll definitely be having this one again

tap
Pours a deep gold with a white head.
Pine hops and caramel aroma.
Grapefruit and pine hops flavor with some light caramel malt.
Medium to light body with a light carbonation.
Average but drinkable IPA. The Uppity is far superior, but this isn't too bad. Nothing spectacular either, though.

Sample: On-Tap 2012
A: Golden orange in color, pours a small foamy white head, moderate internal carbonation, decently hazy throughout
S: Pretty standard aromas for an IPA, tropical fruits, citrus and hops, moderately fragrant overall, some coriander notes
T: Flavor begins strong with heavy tropical fruits and citrus, not overly bitter, just the right amount of sweetness, but finishes very empty, like a story without an ending, still flavorful, though
M: Smooth and well balanced, refreshing and easy to drink, light citrus aftertaste, not overly drying or lingering on the palate
O: A nice IPA all-around but lacks any special qualities, dull but representative of its style and quite palatable

on tap at the brewpub in Chicago. pours a rich golden amber with a white head and good retention with solid lacings. aroma is rich and of fresh hops with a coniferous quality and a rich profile. a malty base of pale and subtle citrusy hops rounds out the profile. taste is smooth and hoppy with a mellow profile of sweet malt citrusy hops with a subtle spicyness. mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a smooth and lightly dry finish of residual oily hops. nicely crafted on the palate. drinkability is good. a solid IPA with great hop quality that avoids an overly dry or bitter profile.
