Tap poured into glass pint.
$3.99 / ea.
Menu Description: "South German wheat beer. Golden hued, with flavors of clove and banana."
Abv. 5.1%
IBU: 18
S: Faint banana scent, with a somewhat stronger dose of clove. Nice and light, but not amazing.
A: Cloudy, straw body. Small loose head that stuck around longer than I expected, leaving just a small trace of cover. Again, a pretty typical wheat beer.
T: Wheat backbone, as expected, with a hint of banana and clove (as described). Nothing out of this world, but delivers exactly what I would expect. Would perhaps enjoy a little more flavor. Note: flavors open up as it warms, favoring the clove notes.
M: Light bodied, with medium to high carbonation that thankfully doesn't assault my tongue. Crisp.
D: Very nice, sessionable beer. Would be perfect on a hot summer day, and would definitely do it again.
O: Decent, if not a great beer. Delivers what I expect, and exceeds what I have come to expect from a chain brew pub.

Rock Bottom's wheat ale is a rotating seasonal, going from American wheat ale, Belgian witbier, Dunkel, Hefe, and others.
Mine was a hefeweizen and went by the same name on the board.
Poured a very nice yellow wheat/golden sun color with very nice head for a wheat beer. Good scent, hints of hay and malt with just a hint of spice. Good taste, nice and clean with a good clove finish (very little banana in this one). It goes down fine. Probably my second favorite at Rock Bottom, I'd like to try the other seasonal wheats.

Poured in a pub glass. Rather disappointed about that.
Bartender said this seasonal was a hefe, so I was expecting a banana/clove aroma. Not quite.
Poured a cloudy straw color with a decent head. Aroma was fruity, but more of a tart, American wheat. Flavor was more of a cross between the two. Not so lemony, but with little spice to it.
Good mouthfeel. Really got the flavor throughout. A good finish. Again, not too tart.
A good beer for a summer afternoon while the Mrs. is shopping.

(Served in an Weizen glass with no fruit)
A- This beer has a lemon yellow body with a strong haze. There is a thin soapy head with a slight bit of lacing the first few sips. There is too much haze to see much carbonation but a few random big bubbles glide up the side of the glass.
S- This beer has a soft bready note that is pretty light with a faint hint of dry spices. It is to light to tell what the type of spices.
T- This beer has a soft lemony citrus note that is pretty bright with a soft wheat note with a very light sweetness. The light note of coriander blends with a nice tartness in the finish. The finish has a green hop note that balances the lemon note very nice.
M- This beer has a medium-mouthfeel with a slight dryness in the finish.
D- This beer has a nice smooth flavor with a crisp clean finish. The spices and fruit notes are mild and not to big with a nice hop note in there aswell.
