On tap at the brewpub, served in a pils flute, Rock Bottom Portland's 14th Anniversary DIPA is a clear bronze with small eggshell head that leaves decent lace.
Smell is big and bright fruitiness, apricot esters and citrus hops.
Taste is great, just like the nose, fruity English ale esters, citrus hops, not to bitter, no heat from the fairly high ABV. Lots of hoppy flavor but not to over the top, same for the maltiness, big but balanced, light toast, with a spicy, pine like finish, yum!
Mouthfeel is oily and chewy but not to heavy, on the drier side.
Drinkability is really high, I love this estery DIPAs that are heavy on the hop flavor and aroma without being to bitter or boozy. Very good, if I had more time I would have surely had another. If you're in the area, get it while you can!
