A: Deep chocolate brown. Almost black. Small and fizzy tan head has OK retention and leaves a good amount of lace.
S: Pretty standard fare. Espresso, chocolate and a bit of charcoal.
T: Very much an almost-stout in execution. Malt comes on with a bittersweet chocolate flavor. Bitterness is mild and has a burnt charcoal quality. An acidic coffee flavor is there as well. Finishes with a lingering burnt bitterness.
M: Medium-light body has the right amount of fizz.
D: An OK take on the style. Not particularly daring, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
