What a wonderful delight, stumbling into the Rock Bottom Indianapolis to find this seductive brew. It took a half a glance at the board to arrive to the conclussion that this is a beer that I must have. It did not dissapoint.

The beer comes in a standard pint glass with a deep copper hue with golden highlights, a modest haze and a very creamy, froathy foamstand that lasted the session and leaving an abundance of lacing behind. An ideal look.

Restrained aromas of floral, tropical fruits and flowers immits from the glass, along with a hearty pillow of malty, caramelly barley. Light fruitiness of apples, appricots, and mangos round out the malts and blend into the soft hop scent of the Amarillos.

Resisting the sharp grapefruit and orange rind taste of most American hops, these give great balance to a beer that could easily compete with English varieties. Modest barely flavors rise to provide the perfect base to stablize the beer and to deliver a delicate, firm taste of caramel, toast, and confectionate sugars.

The texture is silky smooth with a creamy, velvelty feel under the timid carbonation. Bittered to balance and attenuated for crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. A lightly minty cooling is the only hint of alcohol. Drinkability at its best.

This is a fantastic beer all around. A true pleasure to drink.
