This arrived at my table as a dark red ale with some actual head, which quickly evaporated. Subtle scent of malts and caramels, but surprisingly strong taste of both of these. Carbonation seemed excessive, as I constantly felt the need to burp while drinking this. Also heavier than expected, which hampers drinkability a bit. I will probably be passing this over in favor of Rock Bottom's other brews on my next visit.
