fourth and final day of NERAX 2009
dark, almost black, with brownish ruby amber tones under the light. sudsy tan head stays around. lacing doesn't stick for long.
aroma: fruitiness of dates and faint molasses. hint of roast. trace of earthy hop.
taste: watery but bitter roast and touch of hop, with moderate bitterness. touch of acidity. but a bit empty otherwise. reminiscences of coffee?
thin, but with some moments of smoothness. lightly acidic texture in the finish. gentle carbonation might help bring out some of the roastiness and esters.
