Gotta love 5 dollar growler fill mondays. Thank the Lord I only had to pay 5 bucks for this dude. Light yellow orange color. 1 inch head that disappears quickly. Lacing is surprisingly sticky. Very mild hop smell on the nose, not much else. Taste is pretty much the same. Mild grapefruit maybe? Nowhere near what I like in an IPA. Just not very hoppy. Not much of a finish either. The taste kind of just disappears. Mouthfeel is light and moderately carbonated. I will probably drink it again, but only because I work next door, and I'll only get it on 5 dollar growler mondays.

Had this last night while partaking in some trivia. The menu describes it as a 'Southern english ale kicked up to be an IPA', which admittedly is what an English IPA historically was, and it shows.

Arrived at the table in a pilsner glass with no head. Color is a nice gold hue.

No real discernible scent.

Taste does not actually contain a lot of hops. Hop flavoring is there if you look for it, but isn't prevalent. What is there, however, is more of a honeyish ale flavor. which is quite pleasant. Some nice carbonation as well.

Very light and smooth. I had a few of these over the course of trivia and didn't regret it. While it won't replace my preference for Hoppy IPAs, it is still quite a good brew.
