Pours a cloudy dark plum color with two fingers of light tan head, beautiful.
Scent of sugars, dark fruit, caramel, strong vanilla, oak, and bourbon. Somewhat overbearing, but good.
Taste of sweet bourbon, caramel, earth, sugars, dark fruit, oats, and some alcohol. The bourbon is dominant here. It has a more than pleasant flavor, but the base beer is nearly invisible.
Mouthfeel is medium heavy bodied and smooth with a sharp bite of alcohol.
