The biggest problem at Rock Bottom is the lack of detail about what the hell you are drinking. Literature, etc. Bartenders usually only have a passing knowledge and the best I could get on this beer was the ABV off a chalk board and a comment from the bartender that it is a dark steam beer.
Interesting concept and it is quite good. It has a big dose of roasty cocoa on the aroma and nose..very pronounced cocoa/chocolate impressions...mild fruity notes (apples/pears)
Kind of a California Common brown ale hybrid....body is medium to light side of medium...pretty creamy texture...
Finishes fairly dry and crisp, with a lingering hop bitterness...
Interesting and fun to drink....I'm having a ball with this one...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
