From the cask at Rock Bottom 5/29/2010.
Pours black and hazy with some red showing through. Very fine head on it with some good lacing but not much in the way of retention.
Aroma is burnt and roasty and full of raspberries. The sharpness of the raspberries cuts through the astringent qualities of the roast.
Flavor is similar to the nose but I'll add chocolate and nuttiness to the roasted, burnt, and raspberry flavors. Served a bit too warm (I know its a cask but still).
Body is medium and its drinkable. About equal to the regular Black Seal in terms of over all score.
