Had on tap....

A- Poured a light golden yellow color. One and a half finger white head shows medium retention. Streaky lace left on the sides of the glass.

S- Piney hops are the showcase of the front of the aroma. Caramel malts in the middle of the beer show themself over the piney hops. Ending of the beer shows a light linger citrus hop over the previous malts. Alcohol is light in the ending of the aroma.

T- Piney hops in the front of the beer shows a lot of bitterness right off the bat. Middle of the beer is caramel malt forward which with the added sweetness takes some of bitterness away. Citrus hops in the ending take away the rest of the front end bitterness. This added with a underlying caramel malt body makes this a sweeter beer in the backend. Alcohol in the very end of the beer shows a nice crisp alcohol heat.

M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Piney hops with light caramel malts left on the palate. Aftertaste is alcohol heat, light citrus hops, and some light caramel malts. This beer is balanced for the style with there a nice hopping which there should be. No off flavors are present when drinking. Medium alcohol drying on the palate.

O- I didn't expect much with this beer but it turned out to be mighty good. The alcohol was pretty tame for the most part but I could see it growing a little more as pint after pint was drank. A nice drinking IPA.

This was the latest IPA offering using Columbus, Cascade and Chinook..hence the name, 3 C's. Picked up a growler for chilling out at my house on Saturday night with the family. Poured into my DFH tulip glass, really nice light golden color with a big 2 finger pillowy head. Lots of pine in the smell with slight hint of lemon and citrus. Taste is piney, a bit of lemon, bready. Nice mouth feel with a good amount of carbonation. The entire growler stayed very carbonated over the course of a few hours. Fairly drinkable with no hint of alcohol. I polished off about 60oz out of 64oz growler on my own. Another well done brew by Brian at Rock Bottom.
