Served from the tap in a snifter at Rock Bottom - Chicago.
Pours a deep midnight hickory topped by a half-finger of light sandstone foam. The nose hits you right away with that barrel, a rather boozy one, with plenty of roast, mild dark chocolate, and light vanilla backing it up for this rumble. The taste brings in more of the same, the barrel and booze continuing to be the featured players, threatening to drone everything else out. The body is a hefty medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a relatively smooth feel. A pretty nice BA stout, though decidedly rough around the edges when it comes to the actual barreling. Still, it's certainly worthy of a try at least, if you find yourself at a local RB location.
