Picked up a 750 of this for $7 at the brewpub. Bottle 16 of 72.

Pours a solid black color with a shorter head that is chocolate brown and leaves a little lace.

Getting some roasty malt and chocolate, but can't seem to find any of the oak or smoke.

Roasty toasty malt with a big chocolate presence and their is the oak barrel and some light smoke. The oak and smoke characters are a nice compliment to the big chocolate and roasty malt and do not overwhelm at all. A full flavored beer that works greatly.

Soft, smooth and lightly creamy feeling. This is about medium bodied but is closing in on the full spectrum. Dry, dry finishing.

Drinks nicely. A full flavored porter that is solid all around. A really nice offering from the Minneapolis Rock Bottom folks. Not sure if they'll do it again, but I would go for it again.

Draft at Autumn Brew Review. Pours a nice dark murky brown color with a slight tan head. The nose is a lot less aromatic than I thought it would be with just hints of smokiness and oak. Some roast type notes as well in the nose. The taste is initially slightly smokey with a decent malt backbone. Some oak flavors evident as well. No real alcohol flavors. Overall, I decent beer that doesn't take the smoke or the oak too far.
