Sampled 10/5/2010 at Rock Bottom Lombard. This is a milk stout aged 8 months in a Woodford Reserve barrel on sour cherries.

Pours jet black with some beige head, lace, but little retention.

Aroma is bourbon (lots of it), cherry pie, and chocolate.

Flavor is mostly bourbon with some pie cherries, chocolate, oak, and coffee. Pretty solid but too boozy and more bourbon infused cherry pie than beer.

Body is medium and drinkability is pretty good in small quantities.

Tick.
