On tap at the Ahwatukee location pouring clear deep amber with copper edges and nice looking off white head. I let this big 12oz pour sit out for a while as it was on the cold side which seems to cause the aromatics and flavors to hibernate. After a good 20 minutes the aroma was assessed where I was greeted with big and tall notes of prunes, figs, a pleasing level of fig earthiness and a bit of apple. These notes create a sticky smelling sensation that I can’t wait to taste. The flavor does not disappoint with prunes, sweet ripe cherries and sludgy yummy earthy fig goodness. To midway and into the finish a bit of roasted malts and faint pine hop resin provide a sense of mild dryness to the finish. Love this! Best AZ brewed beer I have had so far.
