A - A very murky brownish-red color with a very minimal off-white head that faded to a right ring. Top inch as the beer looked fairly yellow-tinted. Kind of ugly beer.
S - Big apple notes with some brown sugar and sour vinous notes. Some brown sugar and light dark fruits, particularly figs and prunes. Seems to have spent a lot is time in the barrel with some oak and a lot of vanilla.
T - This reminds me of a beer that wasn't strong enough to stand up to a barrel and got obliterated by it. Big wood and vanilla with some souring chardonnay taste. It's really not working and kind of hard to drink. Booze is a little harsh, with some figs and raisins.
M - Very soft carbonation and pretty full bodied.
O - Interesting experiment but it didn't do it for me. To harsh and hard to drink much of.
