A- Exactly what I think of as copper. Head is off white and leaves a great deal of lacing.
S- The aroma is hoppy but it still leans too much on the malt. There is a tropical fruit aroma, but the brown sugar and caramel sit too large on the nose.
T- Very sugary tasting. Sweet up front and the pineapple flavor coming from the hop oils reinforces that. Some pine flavor or something to cut the sweetness would have been sweet but sugar, caramel, and fruit juice was just sweet on sweet on sweet.
M- Again it left a sugary feeling in the mouth that coated the mouth.
O- Good to see them make an effort into IIPA's but this one needs to be retooled to balance the sweetness.
