The pour is a golden amber in color with an off-white head. The nose is quite fruity with lots of citrus character, some pear, and some apple. A fair amount of yeast and bread to it, too. The flavor is similar, but not quite as enjoyable. Good fruit notes and yeast, fairly good wheat character. The chardonnay seems surprisingly absent, however.

Bottle #5 of 60 from the downtown Minneapolis location.
A lighter gold color with a thin creamy layer of clean white foam on top. Nice retention.
The nose is very fruity. Getting apple, pear and white grape. A light oak presence also. Smells much like a white wine.
As for flavor, I am getting a good amount of vanilla from the wood. A nice dry oak presence with white wine grapes and alcohol. More grapes and vanilla in the finish. Quite refreshing, yet warming.
The carbonation is soft, but actually feels a bit flat. A very dry feeling beer.
This is a nice barrel aged beer that drinks much like a white wine, but is a bit more interesting. This would be a lovely spring/summer beer. Glad to have tried it.
