Braintree location.
It pours a leathery tan color with a fast fading off white head and some trailing and sticky lacing.
It sure smells like a Scottish Ale. Lightly of smoked peat, crackers, tea and bit of alcohol.
The medium bodied malt has the typical Scottish dry and lightly raw straw taste. Lightly smoky with a hint of rye.
The tea-like hop bitterness has a hint of lemon. It finishes really dry with very little aftertaste. The alcohol is fairly well hidden, though it pokes through from time to time to remind you what you're dealing with.

It is nice to see a good heavy scottish style on tap around this area. Nice deep dark brown color with a thin lace on the glass. The aroma distinctly of the style with a hint less smokiness to it. The body is quite smooth and supports a tangy fruity bite with just a small hint of the peat smoked flavor the defines the style. A bit more of teh amokiness is warranted, but the brew is very drinkable and warming. The bar limits only 2 pints per person, though so enjoy it.
