On tap @ King of Prussia. American Brown Ale with Amarillo hops. Clear ruby with a slightly off-white head. Rich look that leaves back sticky swathes of lace. The aroma smells fresh, floral and piney, with some green citrus flavors and then a sticky sweetness that sits along the back. The fresh green bitterness in the taste has some bite, balanced by a backbone of sweet roastiness that is a touch nutty. Dry and bitter on the finish with some lingering resins. Feel is medium with a firm pop to the carbonation at first that then gives way to more of a creamy texture along the back. Alcohol is handled well. This is a very solid take on an American Brown Ale and an overall nice showcase for the Amarillo hop. I’m glad that I decided to go for a glass of this.
