Pours a dark copper-amber, topped with a one finger off-white head, laced in thin rings.
Sweet, malty aroma, pie crust, floral, caramel.
Cracker, earthy, floral, pear, caramel apple, herbal bitterness, peppery alcohol note in the taste.
Medium-full bodied, but was too flat, very smooth.

Tried this smooth Spring brew while, fittingly, watching the Sox lose the first game of the season. Bright red in color, unlike any bock I have seen with a creamy white head. Rounded malt aroma with a hint of biscuit, first taste is sharp and malty. Flavor begins to mellow further down into the glass, and (hopefully like the boys will do this year) finishes better than it started.
