Tap at brewery in San Jose
Big thick creamy tan head fades semi slowly great lacing, very dark brown color.
Nose cocoa, caramel, little biscuity, nice malty aroma, toasted grain, touch roasty.
Taste brings more of the same, caramel and amber reddish malts out front, toasted grains, plenty of caramel but not very sweet, little chocolate syrup cocoa, hint of roast, touch if grassy spicy hop. Finish dry touch sticky, lingering cocoa, caramel, toasted brown and amber malts.
Mouth is med bod, decent carb, touch fluffy.
Overall not bad at all, nice malt character, cocoa, caramel, good malt profile, hint of hop, maybe a touch more hop would have been better, but still very nice.
