It's a drinkable but unremarkable Marzen. Amber in color, classic marzen smell, with hints of coffe/chocolate. In the taste, some caramel/malt but not quite the caramel/malty strength I'd expect from a Marzen, perhaps a bit lighter and hoppier than usual.

Smell of coffee, dark chocolate
Amber color
Medium mouthfeel
Medium-high carbonation
Roasted malt, cola flavors, some bitterness
Overall a nice beer. Marzen is what I normally order form the Gordon Biersch restaurant and this doesn't taste as good as that, but fine for drinking at home.

Bottle poured into sniffer
A: Clean malt scent with obvious standard hop scent, not too many levels of scents
A: Copper color with white head, good head retention
F: Malt, yeast, clean taste
M: Bubbly, slightly bitter, smooth finish
Overall: a standard Marzen, easy to drink. The craft beer world typically are a bit harsh to lager, but this is quite a solid one.

From the back label: "BEST CONSUMED BEFORE 07/21/18 09:14"
Appearance: The body of the beer is a beautiful mahogany brown with hues of dark reddish-brown and umber. It has a short tobacco stained yellow head that has a creamy texture and very good retention. It's picture perfect.
Aroma: There is very little aroma here but what does come through smells vaguely of cream corn and a very light hint of caramel. It's pretty lackluster here and well below average. At times I thought I smelt copper.
Taste: Again here I taste a bit of copper. The flavors are very watered down. It has a bit of toasted caramel flavor but it fades as quickly as it hits the palate. It's a bit vapid but there are sparks of flavor here and there.
Mouthfeel: It feels too light. There is no body to this beer.
Overall: Looking at this beer I was ready to be impressed by a lovely bouquet of aroma and a feast of flavors but sadly neither came. It's not a beer I would buy for an Oktoberfest celebration so maybe it is fitting that it is being sold in June. The beer tastes and feels like it was mixed with water. I wouldn't recommend buying it.
