Literally meaning “black beer” in German, this delectably dark lager has a surprisingly light body with a delicious, dry, roasted coffee finish.

Received a 64 oz growler as a gift 5-31-18 from my buddy Mr. Doyle. Shared with @sunsjammer earlier today.
Beer poured cola brown with a surprisingly nice head with the initial pour.
Nose had hints of mildly roasted malts with some chocolate notes.
Taste was mild roast and chocolate that was really well balanced.
Mouthfeel was light bodied and smooth.
Overall this is a wonderful session beer that is perfect for a 106 degree day here in the Valley of the Sun.

A solid schwarzbier. Lots of coffee and roasted notes. Smooth and crisp mouthfeel. A quintessential dark lager from a brewpub. Can't wait to try more of their offerings.

On tap at the Atlanta brewpub. Not a favored style.
Look: clear but near blck body with an off-white head that has limited retention.
Aroma: mild but attractive with more toffee than expected.
Flavor: follows the aroma but with ore dark roasted malts showinng.
Mouthfeel: light-medium body and medium-light carbonation. very smooth.
Overall: mild and clean.
