I had this one on tap atthe Bolingbrook GB on 2/10/2009.

A= This bock poured a fairly clear ruby-brown color with a small 1/4" off white head that quickly dropped to a skim.

S= I smelled sweet malts and a faint to moderate smokiness giving this a nice easy aroma.

T= Very much a typical clean, sweet, carmelly, bock wih the added twist of some nice woodsmoke in the malt. The bitterness of the smoke balanced out the malts and made this a nicely balanced brew.

MF= Moderate carbonation with a medium body.

D= A very drinkable and sessionable smoked beer. Often I appreciate a rauchbier, but wouldn't want more than 1-2. I could easily enjoy sessioning a few of this one.
