This is my first post.. Figured I had to say something about this beer since I am only the second person to rate it. I Had this back in 2010-2011, when we visited my fiance's family in Bavaria, and her grandmothers cellar was full of this stuff! It was a very refreshing beer, hazy wheat colored when poured. Had a rothmooser glass to accompany it. Smelled of cloves, bananas, etc. - the usual hefeweisen characteristics. All and all, this tasted like most hefeweisens I have had in the past. I would definitely have it again if I ever go back to bayern in the near future. We had fun drinking this - a cellar full of beer is a double-edged sword.

Bottle given to me by a colleague whose son goes to school near the brewery. Says it's his favorite Hefe in the area around the school (which is somewhere in eastern Bavaria).
Pours only mildly cloudy, medium straw color with a rather lackluster white head. Not much yeast in this bottle!
Decent clove in the aroma with a touch of banana.
Very thin on the palate. Quite watery almost. Not a ton going on in the flavor department.
Truthfully, with so many great Hefes in the fridge, I really could see any reason to see this one all the way through to the bottom of my glass...
