Hard pour earns a half finger of golden-brown head over a very dark brown liquid. Smells soured malty. Chocolate, scorched caramel.
Tastes wet sweet with a counterpart of malt sour (Taddycaster-like). Prune fruit, cream, and a touch of vanilla. Molasses and chocolate mix. Finish cleaned by noticable carbonation, but then memories of the sweet hang in the aftertaste. Quite an interesting offering for a brewery that I'm not usually impressed with.
Md body with strong carbonation. Enjoyable and would be great during the winter months.
