Received this 500 ml bottle for Christmas and just opened it this weekend (drink by date=260707). Nice pour of a golden copper with a two finger white head. Nice aroma that I would expect from a pale ale too. The taste was smooth with a bit of hops and bitterness, but not as strong as an IPA. I enjoyed this beer and could drink more and look forward to their other beers.

Sampled February 2007
Pours with a brilliantly clear, rich copper color and is topped by a frothy, light tan colored head that starts out almost three fingers thick. The aroma is predominantly hoppy with notes of citrus, and herbal character and something that reminds me a little of plastic. Bready caramelized malt notes are also quite noticeable, though in the background compared to the hop character. Overall this has a nice, light, fruity, hoppy aroma.
The taste is sweet up front and quite light bodied. Citrus hop notes of lemon & orange peel are noticeable as is a herbaceaus note that is almost mint-like at times. Dry biscuit like malt character is noticeable in the finish as is a soft caramel character up front. A nice hop bitterness is noticeable in the finish as well. All in all this is not a bad Pale Ale, it is not very distinctive and there are certainly many better examples of the style, but it is enjoyable enough to enjoy a pint of.
