This is a typical unfiltered helles that one can find at any German brewpub, but does raise the bar a bit on what these helles lagers can be.

First off, the head is a beautiful tan creamy and fluffy display. The body of this brew is copper gold in color.

The aroma is easily detectable, with hints of husk and a slight wine like aroma, likely due to the left over yeast.

The taste is dominated by malt with a grainy cereal flavor up front, and finishes sweet with a graham cracker character.

This brew is quite smooth and a bit more complex than any other helles I can remember having had. It does finish kind of powdery.
