Crested Butte Brewery

Ducked into the brewery on a rainy afternoon. The inside is very mountain-lodgey and comfortable. The service was fairly attentive and friendly,but didn't seem overly knowledgeable about the beers and somewhat apprehensive when i was asking questions. The soup of the day, a Carribean Chicken soup, was spectacular! Easily one of the best soups I've ever had--bravo! And the burger was PERFECTLY cooked at medium rare, most places sissy out on that and overcook. And it was GOOD. The Red Lady Ale was outstanding, one of the best beers brewed in Colorado. Yes, that's right! It's worth the trip to CB just for this beer! Worth going out of your way for, I'd recommend a visit.

UPDATE: Purchased some bombers of Red Lady at the liquor store next door--when we brought them home and drank them, it was NOTHING like the draft version. It was rather flat, no hops to speak of, and the malts had really thinned. Yuck--what happened?
