Solid stout. Higher ABV, but the taste doesn’t suffer for it.

Pours a finger of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is licorice, coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Nice.
The taste is milky, a little chocolate and coffee too.
The texture is smoother.
A solid and nice drinking stout.

Quite a nice little stout right m'here. Looks really nice. Deep ruby and brown, almost black. Off tan head foamed up nicely and started to chunk up in the middle. Rocky. Good lacing.

Dry aroma with some fruit subtleties and chocolate in the background.

This one drinks easily. A quick hint of coffee up front, then dark chocolate and plum/prune. Nice sharp roasted malt throughout gives it a dryness without making a big deal. A bit of woodiness in the end, maybe that's pine.

A really good stout. Nothing over the top. It's easy drinking, looks good and tastes like a stout. What else is there? Can probably go ahead a pair this with a grilled steak in the Fall.

22oz bottle from "Lifesource" Salem. $4.99 Blackest of black body with a nice thick, frothy tan head. Aroma is surprisingly fruity at first, berries maybe blackberries, then you get vanilla and semi-dark roast coffee. Taste is similar but more roasty..its very smooth and almost creamy. Mouth-feel for style is actually quite light, but that’s not a bad thing. I enjoyed this stout very nice stuff

1/2 Gal growler filled apx 2 hrs ago. Pours a very dark black, tan head that settles in a respectable amount of time, light lacing. Aroma is very malty, lightly toasted, with some hints of coffee. Taste is heavy toasted malt, some woodsy notes, a bit of cocoa. A bit of Hop bitterness comes thru on the finish. A very smooth, moist mouthfeel help contribute to high drinkability. It may not "blow your socks off" like some big name stouts, but a very solid beer none the less.

Should I speculate as to what the Devil’s Hole is? Perhaps some other time. The beer named for this imaginative feature is an austere black, hearty stout of low carbonation with strong roasted barley flavor. It expresses a healthy dose of coffee notes alongside a sprig of mint. A long, charred finish brings it to a close where the mouthfeel draws thin.

This beer is a bit stressed at times, Or is that just me?
