NO LONGER RETIRED
22oz bottle from"LifeSouce" in Salem. $4.99 Clear Lyle Syrup golden coloured ale with a large, thick ,rocky white head. Pretty reasonable nose on this a lot of rich caramel type malts and good semi-resiny hop. Nicely balanced taste..mainlly caramel malts then followed up by resin/citric hops in the end. Pleasant enough. Well carbonated and good palate. A nice enough pale more towards the balanced side.

Had this one in Portland along side a chili beer by Calapooia. First time i've heard of them as a brewery, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this available everywhere in Oregon in a couple years. Maybe even other states in the next 5. Really good balanced flavor. Malt is just enough to balance the hops, which are kinda big. Definitly a PacNW Pale ale, with a good hop preference.

I really enjoyed this, like I said. It'll go great with any type of food and I recommend you grab some if you can find it (or are in the Albany, Or area)

A very agreeable and smooth pale ale with rounded contours and graceful fruitiness. Bittering is gently restrained for purposes of balance only – hop flavor is not emphasized. Both the pale amber color and the breezy fragrance suggest apricot. Low CO2 with scant showing of suds. A downright friendly beer worthy of your daily regimen.
