lantern corps beer summit 2010 - day 1, oct 8/2010. Jw347 contributed this one. thanks john!
64oz growler. cygnus x-1 porter infused with raspberries.
pours deep red, nearly brown, with a big fine tan head. bit of spotty lace.
aroma is good. dark and milk chocolate. raspberry. light general fruity character. hints of cherry. white bread and cracker. light alcohol.
taste is great. tons of raspberry, but with no associated tartness. loads of dark and milk chocolate compliment the raspberry well. white bread and cracker. light alcohol. low bitterness level. lightly earthy. hint of cherry.
mouthfeel is good. medium-large body. medium carbonation level.
drinkability is great. great balance. just the right level of fruit to compliment without overpowering. good stuff!
