Tried this at the Mill Hotel in Chester (UK), at their real ale bar.
Appearance: Hazy golden colour, with a small creamy head, which showed really good retention.
Aroma: Unsurprisingly the first aromas that bursts through are hops, lots of hops. There is a slight bready maltiness in the background. Sharp citrus aromas come through as well.
Taste: As with the aroma, hops dominate, providing a bitter taste throughout. Citric flavours are also present from the start, with an acidic yeasty taste. The bitterness is still present at the end but slightly mellowed out leaving a short-lasting aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, smooth, and creamy.
Drinkability: It's easy to drink but nothing special. The flavours are nice but again, nothing too special. There are some brilliant English Pale Ales about, unfortunately, this just doesn't offer what they do.
