Served cool from 500ml bottle into pint mug.
A) Medium-amber colour, no head, slight film. Could be a lager if you hold it up to the light.
S) Rubbery English malts, no hint of hops. Oh dear, what have I done?
T) The stodgy malt is actually balanced by a fragrant hop taste to the extent that this is palatable. It is the bitter aftertaste that kills it, totally unnecessary.
M) On-style for a 3.9% English bitter; the fizz is part of the flavour profile.
O) An OK English bitter. Go for their Cascade ale instead, it is really good.
