330 ml bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 9.5%. Hops are Simcoe and Galaxy. Orange colour, minimal head, slightly off-white. Aroma of piney and grapefruity hops, some dust. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. The flavour has a slight sweetness, not too much. A little fruit and dust, with a sharp bitterness in the finish. Not the best beer from Saltaire.

Many thanks to Gavin for providing the bottle!
Pours a clear, dark-orange color with a small head.
Smells of a pungent fruitiness with a pleasant, limey dankness to it. Its got a cakey malt sweetness as well, adding to the orange and papaya. Flowery hints provide additional character to the hops and help them to remain dominant against the malts.
Has a lively carbonation, offering a medium, versatile body.
Tastes right from the beginning of lemon zest, instantly getting wrapped up by toffeeish, bready malts. Malts blend beautifully into the hops though, producing juicy orange and even sweet pineapple, exhibiting a rich fruitiness. Due to the slightly metallic carbonation the hops turn more present during the finish, with lots of wet grass, even some herbs among them, still carrying the aftermath of their initial fruitiness, with a pleasant malt backbone to them.
A fantastic IIPA, touching sweet fruits for a short glance, while then gently turning to its grassy, lime infused qualities. Very versatile on the palate, with a fantastic balance to it, resulting in a real rollercoaster tastewise.

Served cool from 330ml bottle bought at the Saltaire Brewery shop into snifter glass.
L) Clear, deep copper colour. A few bubbles. Thin white bubbly film. Not a lot to look at, but the colour is nice.
S) Rich, juicy galaxy hops. Hints of tropical fruits including melon and pineapple.
T) Warming, grapey fresh hops and toffee malts in the front, mask a mild or moderate hop bitterness at the back. I like it, it doesn't want to blow my head off, but it is tasty, inviting repeated sipping to keep the flavour in the mouth. Dangerous in that respect!
F) Thick and a bit oily, but no overpowering bitterness in the aftertaste. Small amount of carbonation sets it off nicely.
O) This stands up well to scrutiny against other strong IPA's I like such as SN Torpedo and Founders Centennial, and is around the same price too. Not my no. 1 favourite style, like most BA's, but I know what I like and I like what I know, and I like this.
So you will, too.
