Pint from cask served in imperial pint glass at local Wetherspoons.
A: Jet black body with a 2 finger tan creamy thick head, that sustains well but disspates after 5 mins or so to a crown. Lacing is very good.
S: Lots of roasted malts, burnt rubber and waxy chocolates.
T: Lots of silky chocolate notes, with sweet bready roasted malts with a fantastic nuttiness and bitter edge makes this a great balance between bitter and creamy sweet.
M: Silky smooth with a low carbonation.
D: A nice effort. Not as silky and rich as Youngs double chocolate stout, but when nothing but a chocolate stout will do, this goes down well!
