Half pint, hand pulled at a London Wetherspoons pub.
Advertised as a Black IPA, it looks and tasted like a stout to me, but without any body thickness.
The nose was hopped toffee apple (Cascade hops used), with some roasted malts within the smells also.
The taste a strange mix of bittering citrusy hops and dry roasted malty biscuits.
Couldn't get into it, just didn't sit right on my palate. Try it by all means, but expect the flavours to be all over the place.

On cask at the Market Porter, Borough Market, London.
Cream colored film that sheets and rings over a ruby-chocolate body.
Soil and cocoa nose with faint orange oil.
Mild licorice bark malts with slight ash and resiny hops. Leafy end and spicy linger.
Medium, chewy, soft.
Body of a mild, but sneaks up with the ABV. Hops AWOL. A very English take on the style.
