Love most, I had this beer in the Bavarian Village at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. A very non-descript lager, served very cold. Not much head or smell. Maybe a little grain, no hops detected. Taste is reasonably clean and crisp, which is about all you can ask for in this setting. Not bad, but nothing I'd ever order if I had a choice.

Had Bavarian Gold at the Bavarian Village in the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, London, on draft into Bavarian Village Bavarian Gold hazy white plastic pint beer cup.
This ale is brewed with Vienna malt and Saaz hops, and described by the brewery as a "German Helles style beer," but has been wrongly listed (and probably mis-reviewed by some) as an English Pale Ale. It would be better categorized as an American Blonde Ale (or even a bold Kölsch), but regardless is a refreshingly wheat-free German-style ale.

13 Nov 2012: hand-pulled pint in The Station, Oakengates.
As the name suggests, this is a golden brew: on top a pure white foaming head.
The combination of German and Czech hops used in the brew give the beer a gentle hop feel in both the aroma and taste, the malt content isn't too strong either, so although refreshing it doesn't hit you with any deep or heavy flavours. I found it fairly boring, but I had been drinking some flavoursome brews before this.
Soft mouthfeel and generally bland.
